The Last Day of School 2011-2012 School Year

Time flys!  Today marks the end of the 2011-2012 school year.  Mikayla is officially a 4th grader and Ashlee is officially a 6th grader in middle school.

The last day of school started off with an awards assembly for honor roll and perfect attendance.  Both the girls received Academic Excellence Awards for having a 4.0 GPA.  Ashlee also received an award for perfect attendance.  YES PERFECT ATTENDANCE!  With all the health issues our kids have had throughout their life, I never thought I would have a child with PERFECT ATTENDANCE, but Ashlee did it this year.  Mikayla was very close.  She missed 3 days of school.  2 of the days for strep throat, which hopefully won't happen anymore since her tonsils have been removed.

After the morning awards assembly there was a carnival for the entire school, hot dog BBQ lunch for the student's and their families and snowcones.

Allison and Mikayla (in the neon clothes) paying duck, duck, wolf.  The wolf is the school mascott.  This game involved sponges and water.  It was a hot day and the kids wanted to play with water as much as possible.

Ashlee decided to have glasses facepainted on her face.

We are proud of both of them and all the hard work they put into their academics.  Now it's time for a break from all the homework and projects.  After school I took Ashlee, Mikayla, Alyssa and Allison to Mc Donalds for a little treat.  Ashlee and Alyssa went to a friends house for a swimming/birthday party and Mikayla had her friend Allison come over to play.  Finally time for them to be KIDS!
