Volleyball Camp 2012

The girls attended Volleyball Camp this week.  Ashlee will be starting middle school this year and hopes to play on the school volleyball team.  Mikayla wanted to do the camp too, luckily there was room so she did volleyball camp too.  Both the girls loved it.

Fair Cakes

It's fair time.  Time for my nephews, niece, Ashlee and Mikayla to get together and make their cakes for the fair.  Ashlee decided to do a beach ball cake.  Mikayla wanted to do a cake with flowers all over it.  Dylan did a baseball cake.  Landon did a cupcake titled "bucket of worms" and Hailee did a sun wearing sunglasses. The night we got together to decorate the cakes,  I missed getting pictures of all the cakes.  Maybe I will be able to get some pictures when we see them at the fair.

Activity Day Pool Party

This week has been really hot.  We have been in the 100's all week.  The high of the week topped somewhere between 106 and 108 degrees.  The actvitiy day girls in our ward planned a little lunch/pool party activity this week.  Ashlee and Mikayla invited Hailee to go with them.

Swimming

This year Ashlee has been swimming for the Turlock Aquatics Club Swim team and she has been doing very well.  She has been placing in at least 1 event at each meet she has gone to.  She is doing great.  Today she had a swim meet in Lodi and she ended up getting 1st in backstroke and freestyle and 5th in breast stroke.  Great job Ashlee.

Mikayla and Mom Date Night

When summer started we came up with a list of fun things we wanted to try to do this summer, along with a daily chore chart, and a reading incentive program.  One of the things on the fun list was a Mikayla and Mom Date Night.  Tonight we had our date.  Mikayla and I went and got pedicures and had dinner at Angelini's.  John and Ashlee also had a date night.  They went to dinner at Cool Hand Lukes, ice cream at Coldstone and Ashlee got a new book.

4th of July

We went to our friends the Belo's for the 4th.  There was a waterslide, BBQ, cotton candy machine, clay pigeon shooting and fireworks.  I only got a few pictures.

Six Flags Discovery Kingdom

Each year the girls school does a read to succeed program.  The program involves reading for a total of 6 hours and in turn you get a free pass to Six Flags Discovery Kingdom.  Today we went with our friends the Stiles, Starkweathers, and Mendes to Six Flags.  It was a great day.  The weather was perfect and the lines were short.  Everyone had fun.  Meliesa got all of us matching shirts.  It's a lot easier keeping track of 13 girls when they all have the same shirt on.  People at the park were asking us if we were from a school, church camp or girl scouts since there were so many of us!  Here are some pictures from our day.
